구의진(b.1993)은 계원예술대학교에서 건축디자인을 전공하고 홍익대학교 공간디자인 석사 과정을 수료한 건축사진가이자 공간기록자이다. 건축의 외형을 정직하게 포착하는 상업 건축사진과 더불어, 장소에 축적된 시간의 층위와 감각을 이미지로 번역하는 작업을 지속해왔다. 2021년 독립 예술 공간 ‘아트 포 랩(Art for Lab)’을 설립해 예술가들의 실험과 교류를 지원하는 활동도 병행하고 있다. 

2024년 개인전 《Memory Signal》에서 재개발 아파트와 도시 풍경을 통해 사라져가는 공간의 시간적 결을 시각화했으며, 이후 사진 측량 기법과 포인트 클라우드를 활용해 유적과 도시를 아우르는 새로운 ‘시간의 지형도’를 구축하는 작업으로 확장하고 있다. 현재 후지필름 ‘한국 유네스코 유산 기록 프로젝트’에 참여해 전통과 현대가 교차하는 건축과 공간의 가치를 기록하고 있다.

GUUIJIN (b. 1993) is an architectural photographer and spatial documentarian who studied Architectural Design at Kaywon University of Art & Design and completed the Master’s coursework in Spatial Design at Hongik University. Alongside his commercial practice, which faithfully captures the physical presence of architecture, he develops long-term projects that translate the layered temporality and sensory atmospheres of places into images. In 2021, he founded the independent art space Art for Lab, where he supports artistic experimentation and dialogue among artists.

In his 2024 solo exhibition Memory Signal, he visualized the temporal textures of disappearing urban landscapes, tracing the changing scenes of redevelopment apartment complexes and the city. Since then, his work has expanded into constructing new “topographies of time” that connect heritage sites and contemporary cities through the use of photogrammetry and point cloud techniques. He is currently participating in Fujifilm’s “Korea UNESCO Heritage Documentation Project,” focusing on the architectural and spatial values that emerge where tradition and the contemporary city intersect.
